Our commitment
Smiles Creative Arts wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboards or magnifiers, and people who are sensitive to motion. We work toward the WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines and keep improving.
What is built in
- A skip to main content link, full keyboard use and a clearly visible focus outline
- An accessibility panel on the left edge of every page: bigger text, text alignment, a readable font, high contrast, grayscale, hide images, pause animations (stops the moving hero, logo carousels and tilt effects), highlight links and a big cursor. Your choices are remembered on your device and can be reset at any time. It also follows your device's reduced-motion setting automatically
- Light and charcoal dark colour modes that follow your device, with a toggle
- Text descriptions for the photos on the website, added by our team
- Menus, pop-ups, the photo viewer and publication viewer close with the Escape key and keep keyboard focus inside while open
- Layouts that adapt to phones, tablets and desktops, and text that grows with your browser zoom
Known limitations
- Some older images and downloadable files may not yet have full text descriptions.
- Publications are shown as page images. Contact us if you need a text version.
- Embedded YouTube videos use YouTube's own captions and controls.
